Welcome Sailfish!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- We are excited to welcome in all new and returning student-athletes to campus this August. Before you begin making your plans to travel to West Palm Beach, there are a number of things you must complete and be on top of if you hope to begin practicing with your team in preseason or offseason practice. This website has been designed to assist you in organizing that information.

If at any time you have questions, please don’t hesitate to call Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications, Michael Brown. Because coaches’ schedules are inconsistent during the summer, this will probably be the best way for you to connect with someone.

We are excited about your arrival and want to be as helpful as we can be between now and then. Below is a checklist of things you must take care of before August.

NCAA Eligibility Center
Athletic Physicals
Other Athletic Training Information
Sports Information

NCAA Eligibility Center- By now all of you have probably not only heard about the NCAA Eligibility Center, but you've registered. You've taken care of almost everything, but there are a few things that slow down the process just before a student-athlete reports in the fall. This is one of the most important things you can take care of, as dealing with the NCAA can sometimes be a slow process. You will not practice or play until you receive full clearance from the NCAA Eligibility Center. Click Here to Register Online

So before you start to pack in August, make sure that you have completely taken care of the following:

1. Register! If you haven't already you're officially behind. Get online as soon as possible and register at the NCAA Eligibility Center.

2. Make sure the NCAA has your final high school transcript and test scores. Your transcript may have been sent to the NCAA when you first registered, but a new one must be sent now that you have completed all of your high school requirements. This requires work on your part. Call your school's counseling office and make the request. Continue to call them until a transcript has been sent. This is the slowest part of the process but the most important. Remember, not only are you relying on your school to send the transcript, but you're also relying on the NCAA to review your courses and make their final decision. Waiting until August to get your transcripts and test scores to the Eligibility Center is not an advisable option. Start this process now!

3. Fill out the amateurism questionnaire and request final amateurism certification on the NCAA Eligibility Center website. This site is very user-friendly, and you should have no trouble maneuvering through the information. Filling out the amateurism worksheet is as simple as checking boxes and filling out your name. Please have this done before you arrive on campus - you won't practice or play until you do.

Athletic Physicals- All new fall sport season PBA student-athletes (all freshmen and transfers) which include members of the volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country teams must come to campus with a physical completed in the last six months in order to participate in preseason practice. This can be the same physical that is required by the PBA Health and Wellness Office for enrollment, however a copy must be provided to the Athletic Training Office. It is strongly recommended that the physical be recorded on the approved Physical Form.

Click Here for the Physical Form. The PBA Athletic Training staff along with their team of physicians will conduct a PBA physical on the following dates:
