Sarasota Product Jaime Robinson Signs Letter of Intent with PBA Softball

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- A program truly on the rise, the Palm Beach Atlantic University softball team continues to work to becoming a consistent power in collegiate softball. They continued with another step today in the announcement of Jaime Robinson to a national letter of intent for the 2009 season.

An outfield and first-base prospect at Sarasota High School in Sarasota, Florida, Robinson joins an elite class of early signees for head coach Kimmy Bloemers that also includes Erica Walters, Carly Shepherd, and Mari Stokes.

An all-area player, a scholar-athlete, and a person of character automatically put Robinson on Bloemer’s radar with the second-year head coach being very pleased with Robinson’s decision to make PBA her college choice.

“Jaime is an outstanding athlete. She has all the qualities to have a great career here at PBA. She will help our team to big success in her four seasons as a Sailfish. I am excited to see all the things Jaime will do on and off the diamond,” said Bloemers.

With her college choice now firmly in place, Robinson can now look forward to joining her Sailfish teammates next fall.

“I am so happy with my decision to go to Palm Beach Atlantic. It is truly a blessing to go to a school with such good sports and academic programs. It just goes to show that God answers prayers,” said Robinson.

Robinson competed for a very solid travel squd in Team Demarini while participating in the ever-popular travel leagues of Florida.

Not only a solid contributor on the softball field and in the classroom, Robinson also has been heavily involved in her community in a variety of different outreach opportunities.

Volunteering with such organizations as Mothers Helping Mothers, Relay for Life, and Habitat for Humanity, Robinson could also be found as a mentor at Tuttle Elementary in their reading program.

All these factors not to mention her talents in between the foul lines make Jaime Robinson a solid fit for Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Jaime is the daughter of Manfred and Ellen Robinson.
